“Mamore Estate is situated on the geographical split between the wild and rugged West coast and the more rolling hilled Eastern side.
The 9 steep, rocky Munros and their interlinking ridges and peaks provide a physical challenge, sometimes starting at sea level with spectacular views as far as Jura in the West, Ben Nevis to the North and Schiehallion in the East.
The weather on Mamore can be unpredictable, situated on the coast and with the high hills catching the prevailing South Westerly elements. It is important to be prepared for anything from cold and wet conditions to very warm so a layering clothes system is highly recommended. Sturdy, grippy and waterproof hill walking boots are a must.
A good level of fitness, determination and weather appropriate clothing/boots will get you through an interesting, informative and successful day on Mamore, where you will feel well and truly ready for some evening relaxation and refreshments.”
