Wildfire Risk

The most recent wildfire hazard update from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service highlights the period from the 15th – 17th April as ‘high hazard’ for much of the Western Highlands.

JAHAMA Highland Estates is in discussions with Police Scotland, Highland Council, SFRS and others on a more joined-up approach across Lochaber and Badenoch this summer, based on our collective experiences last year of having to manage a significant increase in wildfire risk related to visitor numbers.

We welcome responsible access under SOAC, and respectfully remind visitors to take great care when out and about and to avoid activities that could start a wildfire. Please report any sightings or smells of smoke via 999 as soon as detected. Thank you.
